Aims

Fashion is an underestimated social, economic and cultural force. The overarching objective of KULTURE2COUTURE is to support London’s black African and Caribbean fashion designers by raising their profile, acknowledging their contributions to the fashion industry and helping them to achieve their potential. Specifically, KULTURE2COUTURE aims to:

• become an major annual industry recognised event that proactively engages buyers and merchandisers from the major high street chains and independent retailers;
• provide a unique high profile platform for showcasing the work and creativity of London’s established and emerging black African and Caribbean fashion designers;
• promote and acknowledge the major historical contributions of black British designers to the fashion industry;
• act as an industry resource for those wishing to establish careers and businesses within the fashion industry; and
• develop local, regional, national and international alliances, partnerships and relationships with industry bodies, events, experts, leading black designers and media publications.
