Ituen Basi
After graduating from the London College of Fashion in 1991, Ituen set up her fashion business designing bridal wear. The label was carried by a number of boutiques in London, including the Chelsea Collection boutique. Ituen soon realised that challenges of producing her collection locally was a hurdle shared by many other designers at the Chelsea Collection. To this end she set up a small manufacturing unit in West London supported by Portobello Business Centre and LDA to cater to independent designers and micro fashion businesses requiring samples and small runs. Ituen returns to her ‘first love’ – designer with her ‘Rustic Chic’ collection
