A new award category was piloted this year, the People's Award. It provides the public with an opportunity to interact with the popular runway shows by encourageing them to vote for their favorites K2C designer/collection. This years winner is Saint-Hill
Established in 2006, the Phoenix Award is given to the designer, who in the opinion of the K2C Judging Panel, produces a collection that demonstrates strong career and business potential. The second recipent for this award in 2007 goes to Nkwo Onwuka
The Trailblazer Award was established to acknowledge and pay tribute to those creative professionals who having been silently leading the way, making significant contributions and effectively 'blazing a trail' within the fashion industry. This year it was awarded to Fay Fullerton, Head of Production Costume, Royal Opera House.

Brenda Emmanus hosted this years event on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th November 07. If variety is the spice of life, then Brenda's career has been a very tasty one! Through her media work she is skilled in print journalism, radio and television broadcasting.
Brenda is currently BBC London Entertainment Correspondent. She made her mark as one of the co-presenters on BBC One's The Clothes Show, which she contributed to for five years. She has since fronted the interior designer programme, The Terrace and featured on BBC's Holiday programme and The Midweek National Lottery, all on BBC1 Brenda was also the main presenter on Healthy Holidays and Money Makeovers for Granada and Sky Television.
As a freelance writer Brenda has contributed feature articles to Pride, Cosmopolitan and Caribbean Eye magazine, as well as features for New Nation, The Voice, and The Observer newspapers, and she is a published author.
K2C Ambassadors believe in the mission and purpose of the initiative; recognising the value and creative potential of a more diverse and inclusive fashion industry that nurtures new talent, acknowledges those that paved the way and providing opportunities for the public to engage with fashion in a more meaningful way.
Following in the footsteps of the talented and successful supermodel Alek Wek, the music entertainment and fashion entrepreneur, Damon Dash agreed to become K2C 07 Ambassador. Mr Dash attended the launch reception on Friday 16th November and delivered workshops to the public on both days for the weekend.

K2C consolidating its reputation as a platform for showcasing international designers welcomed Deola Sagoe (Nigeria) and Stoned Cherie (South Africa) who exhibited at 07 event.
The CatWALK the World programme is an international initiative backed by the UN World Food Programme, which used fashion to raise funds for and awareness of the campaign to eradicate child hunger. K2C supports the initiative of the roll out of the CatWALK the World programme across Europe.
